Kari reports from her latest event where she scooped 2nd

Kari >> “After a long week with a lot of competitions and many hours on the water and on the beach waiting, KPWT Brazil is finished.

My goal at this event was to go for a podium result in waves. I spent many hours on my wave board before this event but I was not sure about my level. After my first heat with Marine Sudre I found out that I hade a change to fight in the top. This gave me energy and made me really believe that I could do this. I managed to edge ahead of Anja Grzenlinska and Kristin Boese. In the final I meat Kisti Johns (the wave master girl how I really was looking forward to ride against here in a final. It was like my dream com true) I went to the water and was not thinking that it was a final. I only wanted to have fun. I did my best heat here in Brazil, and was really happy when I came from the water. Only one big smile was in my face. I did not mind if I got 1th or 2th , I know I did my best and if it was not good enough I had to train more for next event. I got 2nd and did my best result in the waves this year.  Kristin Boese got the 3rd.

Kirsti Johns is surfing really well now and she is also after this event the wave master 08. I am really happy for her that she made it this year.

In freestyle I meet Kristin Boese again and this time she beat me. I was not really happy after my freestyle heat. I know I can do better but this time my level was not good enough in this heat. I hope I will do better in the next event which will be in Morocco.

In racing I finished 4th which is great for me. Racing is all about the boards and kites. I was riding the Ozone Sport II and Edge II. I am loving the Edge II and I am now ready for the next racing in morocco with a perfect up wind kite.

We also hade big air best tricks and it was a surprise that I got the 3rd position. I was not expecting this, but my new Edge II was perfect for this. I was really happy to be on the podium here
