We’re getting some banging conditions over here at the moment; and after a brutal cold snap it’s actually pretty warm too
I’ve just come back in from testing the 9m FYX - after the terrain session I took the kite on the water with a strapless surfboard. I don’t know what Rob Whittall has done to it but to me it felt like no foil ever before, I couldn’t believe how much fun I was having - the way it powers you out of the turns alone is sublime. At one point I even caught myself thinking “hmm, maybe i could just fly these foils on the water in my spare time - that could be my ‘thing’…” Long and short of it, brilliant kite. The bar system was especially well thought out and put me in a very good mood before I even launched it.

I’ve attached the test report HERE, there’s not too much tech. detail as with only 500 odd words I wanted to get accross the feel of the kite and i guess by now people have very high expectations of the Ozone finish anyway.

Simon Mitchell is the new editor at PK mag, and he has this idea about hanging on to a kite for a bit longer and doing a ‘revisited’ test, to see how the kite is faring up also to mention the second thoughts, after the initial test’s first impressions if you will. So can we keep the FYX for a little while if we look after it? If you need it back, no worries. Please don’t think we wrote such a review just because we wanted to butter you up to hang on to it a bit longer - we just really liked it that much.
